Ponor Returns

Diligence, seemingly easy to tap into, is, in many aspects, a difficult action to commit to. Nonetheless, my foray into the world of podcasting has finally resulted in a tangible episode of digital debauchery. A safe place for me to control the media, I decided after being duely encouraged by CNN and their "revolutionary" YOUTUBE debate, that I too, would tackle the monster that is personal accountability in terms of civic involvement and add my voice to the convoluted sound of lazy liberals sounding off with narry an action.

No, not me. see, I take myself and my message MUCH more seriously. That is to suggest that KwanCast has the potential to create an avenue for me to become the Anderson Cooper of Digital Sports Media.

What?!

Exactly.

Curious? Confused? Awkward?

All intentional I assure you. More importantly however is the announcement that Kwancast, my new Sports Podcast, will debut tomorrow, Monday, July 30th. I'm still learning the ins-and outs of podcasting, but am pretty confident KwanCast will be available on Itunes tomorrow for all my loyal fans.

In the meantime, I'm toying with the idea of writing a series of short stories revolving around me working at this Irish Pub as a bartender. I absolutely love the job and find the experience increasingly important on so many philosophical and practical levels. Oddly enough, stability, has manifested itself in the balance between "Being in my Head" and "Getting shit done". A rather inarticulate way of putting it, I nonetheless feel it could be pretty funny, and serve as a platform for me to get creative, in a written form.

My Humps

An extremely interesting rendition of a very popular song. I particularly enjoy the way Alanis rolls those lyrics off her Canadian tongue. In all seriousness though, it does draw attention to the fact that most modern day pop lyrics are incredibly simplistic and almost offensive in their lack of actual substance as well as degrading and really, at the end of the day, catering to the lowest common denominator possible. For all intensive purposes, Fergie, despite having shaken her meth addiction years ago, still looks emaciated and jonesing for her next hit. Her wardrobe suggests that illicitly and ornately colored outfits are the path to success; the secret key being your "ass-ets", literally.

Past poorly dressed popstars, I had an enjoyable weekend. I've recently begun serving bar at a local pub while I decide which job to take in the Fall. It is fantastically entertaining to watch the largely straight clientel adapt to my sense of humor, as well as my "orientation" on things. In all fairness though, the staff are mostly Irish, 100% born and bred. Therefore, its interesting to try and earn their respect. Work ethic, I've learned, is a central tenent of the Irish culture, as is celebrating after a long, hard day. And, there is something to be said about earning your pint at the end of the day. I can't remember a time recently when I've walked home at the end of the day and felt so satisfied; proud and earnest.

Avoiding the "Harry Potter" craze for the time being, as I'm still finishing my book, FINGERPRINTS OF THE GODS, an investigatory examination of the possibility of an ancient civilization predating commonly accepted societal beginnings. Simply mind-blowing. That being said, I'm going to get back to that.

Cheers

The re-invention, or intervention - of my site has occured. Welcome to a new forum, where I can have a voice in the media, unsullied by commercial responsibilities.

That out of the way, I'm hoping for this site to be much more politically slanted. I feel that many things occuring within the Institution of American politics currently not merely begs, but quite ardently demands our attention and more importantly, our action.

For a long time, I was pursuing interests within the sphere of entertainment media, having gotten the opportunity to work in sports media and news media. However, the odd part is that my experience in entertainment is much more varied and diverse on a practical end, wheras theoretically speaking, I'm much more versed in news & sports.

More importantly, however, was the realization that I had a duty. After toiling year in, year out in order to get a great education, I took a look at my life, asking the important question, "Is this challenging to me? Is this who I really am?"

Sure, entertainment is incredibly glamarous, outrageous, sensational. Concurrently, however, was the actualization that vocation in my actions and more importantly professional career demanded a more substantive daily routine.

I'm currently focusing my energies on applying my research and experience with Digital Media to the realms of Political Media or Olympic Sports Media.

Heavy, informative and necessary...right? What a blog should be, or at least hope to be
